FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Hudson Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A.) Holds
Membership Drive
August 18, 2008 (Hudson, Ohio): The Hudson Parent Teacher Association
is conducting its membership drive for the 2008-2009 school year. The
Hudson PTA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose mission is
child advocacy. It is affiliated with Ohio PTA and the National PTA, and
studies issues that affect our children and monitors legislative issues
that involve the education, health, welfare and safety of children.
PTA
works in cooperation with parents and the Hudson City School District to
build bridges within the community so that effective communication
occurs with the public about the Hudson schools. PTA will present a wide
variety of programs this year, including a Health and Wellness Fair
(October), Mock Election (November), Anti-Bullying Program (February),
Science Fair (February), as well as ongoing initiatives such “Parents as
Reading Partners” and “Tools for Success.” PTA also sponsors the annual
Reflections Art Program (October), and awards student scholarships in
the spring.
The
membership drive is PTA's sole fund raiser and all proceeds support PTA
programs and scholarships.
For its members, the Hudson PTA publishes school
directories for the elementary, middle and high schools, as well as
newsletters. PTA representatives will be present at Hudson City Schools'
Open Houses in August and September to provide information and register
members. To join the PTA and find out more about programs, please visit
Hudson PTA's Website at:

The Hudson PTA looks
forward to continued growth as more members of the community join in
advocating for our children. For information on programs for the
