 “Outstanding Child Advocate Award”!

Do you know someone who has made a positive difference in the lives of Hudson children and actively promotes and supports their well-being?   Please consider these criteria to choose an individual whom you consider to be the epitome of an outstanding child advocate:

The 2008-2009 Outstanding Child Advocate Award was presented to Rose Pera at the PTA Reflections Art Reception on April 16th by Superintendent Steve Farnsworth and PTA President Liz Dawson. “Words cannot begin to describe the wonderful feeling you all have given me with this very special honor! My sincere gratitude and hope that I prove worthy of the award,” said Pera.

During the nomination process, the PTA was introduced to several teachers, counselors, school employees and community volunteers who share their time and talents to enrich the lives of Hudson’s youth. Our sincere thanks to those of you who took the time to write to us about these outstanding volunteers; we are inspired by their contributions.

2007-2008 Winner - Kevin Arsham: OUTSTANDING CHILD ADVOCATE

The Hudson Parent Teacher Association was pleased to recognize Mr. Kevin Arsham as the 2008 recipient of the PTA's Outstanding Child Advocate award. Mr. Arsham was recognized for his dedication and commitment to children and youth in Hudson. The PTA also wishes to recognize the other worthy individuals who were nominated for this award. The very fact that they were nominated is a testament to the positive impact they have had on the lives of children.

They are:
Karen Wentz, Joan Sauer (2005 winner), Kim Kotynski, Janice Kaluza, Becky Buford and Kelly Eidson.

Kevin Arsham and the other nominees were honored by the PTA Board at its annual Reflections Art Reception on April 24, 2008, at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School. The PTA congratulates Kevin Arsham, and extends its gratitude to him and his fellow OCA nominees for the invaluable and lasting impact they are having in children's lives.
