Celebrate higher education by participating in the Ohio Memorial/Hudson PTA Scholarship program!

Funding & Origin: Since its establishment in 1947, this PTA program has assisted thousands of youth in realizing their dreams.  The Ohio PTA Memorial Scholarship Fund was started with an original grant of $10,000.00 which the Ohio PTA Board of Directors allocated to this purpose.  To date it has provided nearly 12,800 scholarships amounting to over $3,600,000.00 in scholarship money.  Contributions from the 700 Ohio PTA chapters make it possible for these scholarships to be given each year.

General Information & Eligibility Requirements: Ohio PTA Memorial Scholarship applications are mailed to HHS counselor office or available to download at

Applications also may be reproduced by the school for distribution to their graduates.  The Hudson PTA encourages all seniors with the desire for continuing their education to apply and to fill out the questions to the best of their ability and provide as much information as possible even if you think it unnecessary!

The Ohio PTA Scholarship Committee selects applicants from Hudson high school and award certificates will be mailed directly to the Hudson PTA on or before May 1.  Presentation to the HHS PTA recipients will be at the HHS Awards ceremony.  Upon the student’s verification of enrollment through the Guidance department, the scholarship recipient is then issued a check, sent directly to them before September 30th, 2010.  Questions regarding the Ohio PTA Memorial Scholarship may be directed to Beth Killeen at (330)528-0051 or the Ohio PTA office at (614)781-6344.
